Miskin Mill Scout Village, Miskin, Vale of Glamorgan. The site consists of 3½ acres of flat fields with a footbridge across a river to 4 acres of woodland. The site can camp approximately 200 and it suitable for Indoor and traditional camping, activity camps and backwoods camping.
The camping area is served by modern facilities that include hot water, showers and a payphone. The three buildings can accommodate a total of 36 residents and come with fully equipped kitchen, heating and tables and chairs. The site also has facilities for those with special needs.
The Lodge is a new accommodation block which has been built with funding from the National Lottery. You will also be able to see "The New Horizons Room" which was built from donations and consists of 2 two bed bunk rooms and toilets facilities. Intended for non parents or non scouters who come to camp to help out with cooking or other activities.
Cardiff is the main centre and you will find the usual choice of shops and public transport links as well as cinema and sports facilities. On-site activities are limited to orienteering and pioneering, but you are adjacent to some magnificent walking country as well as a number of heritage centres and museums.
